Thank You Father




Missing for six days, eight-year-old Robert Wood Jr., a nonverbal autistic, was found yesterday near North Anna Battlefield Park, Virginia, curled up in the foetal position in a creek bed.  Robert was reunited with his family.

Let's hope they keep a bit closer eye on him in future.  (Not that it's easy.  These ottie kids can disappear literally in seconds.)

Oh, and here's the reaction from Robert's classmates, you know, those "distant" and "emotionally blank" autistic folk:

Adam Warman of the Faison School for Autism told WTVR that students at the school were overjoyed when the announcement that their classmate had been found was made over the loudspeaker.


"They started yelling and cheering, and crying," said Warman.

Thanks also to all the volunteers who searched for this little guy.  May you likewise be found.

    maybe the name 'warman' coupled with the psychic fall-out from many of the uhhhhh wars finally got to him.

    His disappearence seems like it coincided with Hillary's squeals of joy at Gadafi's death.
